Act Now! Leveraging Scarcity Bias
Why do people feel more motivated when time or opportunities seem limited? This dynamic workshop explores scarcity bias—our tendency to overvalue what feels rare or fleeting—and shows you how to use urgency effectively without triggering stress, impulsivity, or short-term thinking.
In this course, you’ll learn how scarcity can sharpen focus and increase engagement when applied intentionally. Through Ericksonian case studies and guided practice, you’ll work with three Choice Architecture strategies—Withholding, Information Gaps, and Differential Attention—to create urgency that supports adaptive action while preserving clarity and well-being.

If the request is made 2 weeks prior of the first day of each class, a full refund will be granted. If the request is made within 2 weeks of the first day of each class, a $50 administrative fee will be taken. No refunds will be issued after the course begins.

Dan Short, PhD Related Seminars and Products
Dan Short, Ph.D, is internationally recognized for his work in Ericksonian hypnosis and short-term therapy. He devotes most of his time to a private practice in Scottsdale, AZ, while also writing and teaching to professional audiences around the globe. His training is diverse, having graduated with a Masters in Counseling from the University of North Texas in 1993, a doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst; followed by an internship at an APA accredited program in Houston Texas.
