Anxious clients adhere rigidly to erroneous beliefs and coping strategies to ward off fear that keeps them from following through on therapy interventions. The strategic approach to cognitive-behavioral therapy helps clients find the courage and motivation to challenge these old beliefs and attitudes. Practical methods enable clients to disregard the content of their obsessive worries and to explore the feeling of uncertainty rather than fleeing from it. The cutting-edge anxiety treatment is now pushing further into the confrontational. Participants will learn how to help clients purposely seek out anxiety as their ticket to freedom from crippling fear.
In working with the problems of panic disorder, phobias and depression, this workshop will show how new hypnotic techniques using paradoxical behavior can effect solutions.
In this workshop participants will learn a new method of brief therapy techniques to cure anxiety and panic disorder, inspired by material and attitudes learned from Dr. Erickson's work. This advanced approach uses pacing, reframing, utilization, conversational trance and Erickson's style of form-fitting treatment for each patient.
Neurofeedback allows us to retrain brainwave patterns associated with problems of depression, substance abuse, ADD/ADHD, learning disabilities, anxiety and panic disorder, insomnia, headaches, migraines, head injuries, stroke, Tourette's, epilepsy, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, PTSD, enuresis and physical balance. Neurofeedback is also used in peak performance training and countering cognitive decline with aging. Integrating hypnosis with neurofeedback is ideal for treating many of these problems. A live demonstration will be included.
In this age where we need to treat people quickly, we have found that adding hypnosis and NLP can be a vital tool in helping clients to make quick and lasting change. In this interactive workshop, participants will learn powerful techniques to create change in themselves and their clients. Participants will learn how to quickly break through limiting beliefs, treat clients who have panic or stress and will learn a self-hypnotic exercise.

Cognitive therapy was originally developed for the treatment of Depression and Anxiety. Since its early beginnings various clinicians and investigators have extended its use to a wide variety of disorders and populations. Systematic outcome studies have demonstrated its efficacy not only in the garden variety of disorders such as Depression, Anxiety and Panic but also in medical disorders such a low back pain, diabetes, chronic fatigue syndrome and chronic hypertension.
