Any life crisis can render a person metaphorically infertile. Using the frenzy of literal infertility as a springboard, this workshop will offer participants the opportunity, in trance, to explore personal circumstances and universal elements of infertility of any kind. The hypnotic process will aim to facilitate the creation of the eye of the storm, and aim to locate the powerful presence of the "I" which often gets shattered in the frenzied state.
Dr. Fisher will present an fMRI study of intense romantic love, a primary mating drive, and the impact of this brain circuitry on human sexuality, human marital stability and therapy using SSRI antidepressants.
This workshop examines the cultural pressures that shape domesticated sex and the puzzling inverse correlation between greater emotional intimacy and the loss of sexual desire. It will demonstrate how to help couples draw pleasure from the hidden, the suggestive and the uncanny while also respecting their needs for safety and stability. Using case examples, we will explore how to grant the body its profound capacities for communicating in its own language.
This workshop presents the information of cognitive, behavioral and marital systems therapies to treat today's complex cases of sexual dysfunction. Video of treatment procedures and case consultation will be included.
A broad-based introduction to understanding the bio-psych-social determinants of the development of sexual and gender-identity in males and females is the basis of this workshop.

Two cases in which dream work played important roles will be presented and illustrated with videotaped sessions. The first is a case of a young single man with premature ejaculation, wherein the active, psychodynamic use of dream work "broke through'' the patient's intense resistance. The other is that of a married man with primary retarded ejaculations in which dreams were used to guide the behavioral aspects of therapy.
